what we do

Philosophy & Mission

Our philosophy and mission center around empowering families through design. At LPI, our non-profit supports struggling families in living well, by removing one significant obstacle from their path towards success. The work that we take on focuses on families who live in the neighborhoods in New York City that are most affected by income inequality, poverty, scarcity of resources and crime. Our team works closely with each family to understand their unique needs and to create practical spaces in their homes that inspire personal growth. With our project management expertise, we ensure each project comes together smoothly by coordinating trades, design elements, timelines, and budgets.

At LPI, our design approach focuses on helping families thrive together while also creating defined spaces tailored for each family member. Whether it’s a cozy reading nook for a book lover, a vibrant play area for children, or a peaceful workspace, we aim to design environments that support everyone’s individual journeys. By doing this, families can truly enjoy a beautiful living space.
