Lucky Pearl Interiors is a not-for-profit organization that offers interior design services at no cost to the families in the New York City communities that need it most. LPI works with each family to meet their unique needs and to create spaces in their homes that are practical and inspire personal growth. Our project management experience ensures that each project comes together seamlessly as we manage the coordination of trades, design items, timelines, and budget.

LPI understands that the majority of the important moments in our lives often take place at home; it’s where we deepen the bonds with our families, explore our hobbies, relax and unwind and most importantly where we plan our future. But what happens when that space is cluttered, dark, uninviting, and does not inspire? Well, the truth is not much. Families will not gather as often; the home is no longer a respite from a long day at work, and determining what activities spark joy becomes more elusive.

This is the challenge that Lucky Pearl Interiors strives to address.

We design home environments, especially for families experiencing hardship with children, that are organized, bright, welcoming, and that create joy. Studies have shown that children are especially more susceptible to the emotional stressors that can be caused by home environments that are disorganized, cluttered, and that lack a space to call their own.

It has been demonstrated that home environments can affect a child’s development long term and create numerous obstacles, including poor language development, aggression, anxiety, and depression. Cornell University researcher Gary Evans conducted several studies that revealed that physical environments greatly affected a child’s well-being, diminished their academic achievement, social development, increased blood pressure, and often lead to withdrawal behavior.

Creating separate and distinct areas within a home for each family member is our main priority when designing a space for a family in need. At Lucky Pearl Interiors we are passionate about helping families achieve a home environment that speaks to who they are as a unit and that offers opportunities for personal, emotional, and financial growth.
