It’s a new year, and I have so much to share! If you have been following on Instagram, you know that my family has just moved into our new home after seven long months. We were lucky to have access to the house for an entire week ahead of our move, which we used to transfer over smaller items, delicate pieces we did not want the movers to handle, and, of course, organize as much as possible.

I focused right away on the kitchen as I figured it was the one room we would use right away, regardless of whether all the boxes were unpacked. Back in October, I began to place small orders for these containers and Etsy labels that would create a cohesive and organized spice station. The jars come in a set of twelve, which is plenty to get started, and the labels from Paper&Pear Store are modern and have been waterproof and easy to place on each container. Although I knew that it would look visually appealing, I never imagined how much it would transform how we prepare meals at home. It has been an absolute joy to reach for various spices and oils to create tasty meals, and we feel – a little – like professional chefs!

We also purchased large jars that we could use to hold some of our staples like cane sugar and almond flour. These come in a variety of sizes and make organizing our pantry much simpler.

No kitchen is complete without drawer organizers, and we bought ours at The Container store to help us find our knives and random spoons. The organizers we purchased are by Marie Kondo in the Walnut color, which look terrific, but you can find the exact sizes in different shades at Target or Amazon for a lower price.

Lastly, we wanted to make the most of the space in our bathroom vanity and the linen closet we have in our master bath. We used a combination of storage containers and organizers from The Container Store and Amazon to corral my makeup, toiletries, and more.

We had quite a bit of luck on Amazon finding all the items we needed to make our stay, in the beginning, an easy one as we settled in. I have listed below some of the other storage options and containers that we saved on our Wishlist for a later date that are both affordable and stylish.

Speaking of affordability, it was serendipity that at the same time we were moving, Target launched their new brand Brightroom. It focuses on all thing’s organization for every room in your home and has storage options and organizers that rival those at The Container Store but at a fraction of the cost. I have listed below some of my favorites.
