This week marked the start of the new year, and although it is blustery and cold, as I put away my Christmas tree and all the decorations I had around the home since November(!), I cannot help but look forward to the projects I plan on tackling at the #LPIHomestead. They are not large projects, but since I am doing some of them for the first time, they may be challenging. In 2024, I plan to turn a small closet off our kitchen into a functioning pantry, add cabinetry to our laundry room, install a stair runner for the first time, and continue adding molding to our hallway areas. It’s a long-ish list but made more palatable by the idea that I can decorate these areas with some of my favorite items – many from Target.
Last week, Studio McGee released their Spring line for 2024, and it included some beautiful pieces. Some of my favorites? The Woodspring Cane accent chair with its dark wood and the pendant with pleated shade light, which is a great option to elevate the design in almost any room. (I could not help myself and I created a mood board for a small but bright and airy dining space using some of the newer items.) I have listed the standouts below.
Items: Killybrooke Glass Accent Cabinet / Wing Arm Accent Chair/ Laguna Nigel Fluted Console Table / Vivian Park Upholstered Swivel Chair / Metal and Rush Weave Top Console Table / Sandpoint Accent Cabinet / Woodspring Caned Accent Chair / Woodspring Cane Base Ottoman
Items: Female Portrait Framed Wall Art / Unsheared Boxwood Artificial Plant / Oval Rim Woven Tray / Oversized Square Throw Pillow / Ceramic Green Candle / Oil Painted Framed Wall Art / Large Woven Basket / Single Handle Ceramic Vase
I hope you are having a happy New Year!
