It was much simpler to complete the foyer of the Allison Jr. Farmhouse dollhouse than the mini kitchen I just installed. Although this room required just as much attention to detail, it was much smaller and as a result, required less time to complete. When I last wrote about this room, all of the important elements were added. The wallpaper was installed, moldings were added in a rich navy color (to match the accent color on the exterior of the house), while the rustic floor served to really tie this room to the kitchen next door. All that was left for me to do was to decorate the space and add the finishing touches.

I began with this beautiful stair runner that just felt like the right way to accent this space and incorporated blues, whites, hints of red and brown. To make the entry bench more dramatic, I used chalk paint in black so that it stood out against the lighter walls. To add storage and interest to the nook under the stairs, I picked this white chest of drawers with beautiful handles so that I could place a lamp and decorative items on top.

The wicker basket filled with flowers and placed next to the rain boots really creates a sweet moment in this entryway. A potted plant and a blue and white umbrella stand near the kitchen door add interest to the opposite side of the foyer. The stand currently has the cutest umbrellas and is located below a couple of hooks that hold for now a straw hat.

That wall is also where all of the artwork resides, and a combination of modern and vintage pieces really highlights the vibe of the house. It was my goal for the room to feel cozy and classic and this entrance incorporates all of the elements that help bring that feeling to mind.

I hope you all enjoyed this reveal. On to the next room!
